DFW Trip (Day 2-- Part 1: Family Time!)

Tuesday morning we woke up and called (who else??) Nana to meet us for some donuts at Krispy Kreme. B made me promise I would take them at least once for donuts at a Krispy Kreme where they could see the donuts being made. It was basically the easiest promise I've ever made. It is even easier when there is one right by Nana!!!! And, of course, Braden brought in his iPad to show Nana his games ;)

KRISPY KREME
(Allen, TX)

From there, we hopped over 75 to the outlet mall so I could get the kids some summer clothes and find shoes for Braden (because he outgrows his almost every month, LOL). After that, the kids and I headed to Dallas to have lunch with Grandmother (they call her "Gigi" for great-grandmother). We had such a good time and she had early birthday gifts (the Head-Bandz game!)for B which he loved!

After a couple of hours, we then went further down 635 to visit my sister and MY NEW NIECE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not that I was excited or anything...

They both loved her, but I was AMAZED by how awesome Braden was with Zelda. She actually calmed down when he held her and eventually slept on his chest!

JUST CHILLIN'

He did not want to give her up and watched over her whenever she was not in his arms. So stinkin' cute!!!!

NOW I'M TRYING NOT TO CRY

Landri had so much fun with her Aunt Meggie and we were sad we only got to see them for a couple of hours but it was so worth it!

Then we drove up to Frisco  (it took almost 2 hours...traffic fail) to drop the kiddos off with Aunt Ashlin and Nana and Uncle JJ and Aunt Meggie so Jay & I could have a date night and celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary.

...to be continued ;)
