San Francisco and Magellan!

That's our corner!!!!

Well, it's not the corner lot WE own, but it's the corner directly across the street. San Francisco and Magellan! Pretty spiffy, huh? :)

After visiting our site, we went back to the model home which was now totally 100% done! It has a driveway and rock yard and looks really really nice! I know it sounds silly, but it is SO hard for us and E-S-P-E-C-I-A-L-L-Y the kids to leave that place and go back to our little house. They absolutely adore it. Of course, the newness of any house will wear off, but we plan on enjoying the heck out of the next 8 months watching it grow into our HOME!!!! Augh! Can't wait!

Landri is TWO!

Two years ago today was one of the happiest days of my life: I had my baby girl!!!! She was healthy, she was beautiful, and she was here!

Now, two years later, and she is still healthy, still beautiful, but now add to that: CRA-ZY!!!!

lol....but that's okay :)

I think she had a pretty great birthday, and I'm pretty sure she would agree with me!

We Have a Street Sign!

Welcome to our neighborhood!

LOL....Not exactly ready for visitors, but our street has its own stop sign now! Exciting stuff! We are at the opposite corner, but there's no sign there yet :(

Last night we visited the model home again since it now has counters and cabinets and tile so that was really REALLY exciting! And, yes, we are THAT family that takes photos in a house that's not ours simply because it's slightly similar to what ours will be like........just wait til we get to visit a home with our same floor plan (OMG!).

New Adventures on the Horizon

Blogging. Ugh. Add it to the list of things I am really awful at. It's been since Landri was born that I actually had enough motivation to sit down and type out what was going on in our lives.

BUT....I'm gonna try again. lol

We've got a lot of big things going on in our lives and I feel guilty that I haven't been documenting it like I should.

For starters, my baby girl turns 2 this month.

WHAT?

Her very first school photos :)

Secondly, we just bought a house. Well, kinda....This past Saturday (March 8) we put down the earnest money to start the building process for our new DR Horton home just a couple miles northeast of where we are now in Midland. It's equally exciting as it is terrifying. That isn't to say the house is too expensive (which it definitely isn't for the Midland housing market), it's just the idea of trying to get our house ready to sell this fall for the highest amount possible.

But trying to focus on the positive...

Sibling embrace on the spot where our future home will be.

The view from our front porch until phase 2 is developed. Some people might hate it, but I actually think it's beautiful and perfect to reflect upon our lives here. (The water tower is literally across the street from Landri's school. The downtown skyline is where I work. And the pump jack, a symbol of Jay's work industry, is a reminder of why we are here and how we've been blessed.)

In addition to that, I really want to get back into selling my graphic designs (and some new gift items) on Etsy. AND I also want to start doing more with my photography. I've got some awesome ideas, but it's just the time and resources aspect that is sucking me dry :( I'm sick of making excuses though and hope to get things going very soon!

In the meantime, I've got my boy and the neverending list of Spring Break to-do's awaiting my time....
