Our Floorplan Twin!!!!

On Sunday, we went to look at the model homes again to look at some of the different options we will get to choose from in the next couple of weeks. Unfortunately, the power had been knocked out and so we couldn't see the options very well. Darn. Guess we'll have to make another trip out there. LOL

Here's what we did do though!

Different Color Granite and Cabinets Than the Other Model
OMG How cute is this room????? We are SO copying it piece for piece when we move!
 She LOVES it, too!!!!!!
 <3

Then, the realtor came to check on us and we asked when she thought a Rockdale model might be available to look inside, and she looked it up and.......They had one!

Sorta...

But OH. MY. GOSH.......we can finally walk through OUR floorplan!!!!!!!! It is a different elevation (meaning the front of the house is different--ours will have a covered front porch) PLUS the owners of this Rockdale chose to flip their floorplan, but WHO CARES?!?!? We felt like we'd won the lottery!!! This is soooooooooooooooo fun! lol

The wind was literally blowing 35mph with gusts of 50mph, but did that keep us from walking through and taking tons of photos? NO!!!!!!!

We are of course going back tonight :) What??? Jay didn't have the floorplan on him when we went inside and he doesn't have it memorized like I do :)

Easter weekend

Luckily, I got out of having to work Good Friday by getting comp hours through really fun meetings outside of school hours.....yeah, so fun :-p  Friday morning we headed out to spend the night in Wichita Falls before heading to Marlow first thing Saturday morning for Easter weekend with Jay's side of the family.

Landri fell asleep before we even got through Stanton which is Midland's eastern border town.

But, thanks to her brother, she woke up about 15 miles later and did not sleep the rest of the trip...awesomeness. LOL, but it was okay because of amazing technology! I love it!

We stopped about two hours into the trip in Sweetwater for some lunch at Wendy's.

And then we got back on the road for our 180 miles trek from there to Wichita Falls. The hotel room was tiny and icky and though we had scheduled a two night stay, we did not return. Hope you appreciated the extra $50 Super 8. Ick. The 6.5 hr trip was a long one, but Peppa Pig and tablets helped :)

We had a great time in Marlow, but I'm sad we didn't get many photos because it is really hard to take any when your kids are acting a fool THE WHOLE TIME. hahahaha

Grandma Pat did get them ice cream from the ice cream truck so I managed to get a couple of photos of that since they were sitting still for about 30 seconds.

Oh! While Braden was eating that popsicle, we heard him gasp excitedly and then he started saying, "My tooth! My tooth came out!" It was awesome! No blood, no pain, it just stuck in his popsicle perfectly preserved for us to take home to the tooth fairy :) Why can't they all be that easy? The best part was that we got to spend time with the family. Totally worth it!

We didn't get home until 11:00pm Saturday night and she stayed awake the. entire. TIME!

But we were so glad we stuck it out so we could have our entire Sunday at home (and sleeping in our own beds was nice, too!). Unfortunately, we got home so late we forgot to put Braden's tooth under his pillow for the Tooth Fairy. That morning the kids awoke to their Easter baskets but neither was in a very grateful mood and so Mommy got few photos because she was too busy telling Braden if he wasn't happy then he should go back to bed. Maybe a nicer, less spoiled child would emerge from his bedroom then. Ugh....

She LOVED her bunny!
And of course, there were bubbles and jewelry :)

Again, no photos of B because he was being a B-A-B-Y!!!! lol

Later that day, we went out and played with their bubbles. The reason there were glasses is because it was supposed to allow the kids to see 3D images in the bubbles??????? WHAT? Yeah, it didn't work.....but they looked adorable!

That night we DID remember to put Braden's tooth under his pillow!!!!! WOOOHOOOO!

Two dollars....yeah buddy! LOL... Good weekend :)

Frozen! ...and a Pool

While we still have not actually seen the movie Frozen (*gasp* Yes, I know...but Braden is not really into movies and the song that everyone is so friggin in love with makes my ears hurt. Seriously, how do people not hear how bad it is???

And now that most of you have closed this message after being offended by what I just said *tee hee* the rest of you can read about how much of an awesome time Braden had at the Frozen themed bday party for one of his Washington friends.

Her parents did an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G job. Photo booth, bouncy castle, sno cone truck, fake snow, REAL sno ball fight (thanks to buckets of shaved ice provided by sno cone man)....He had a blast!

 PURE. JOY.

 His favorite color :)

 SNOW BALL FIGHT!!!

It is currently 45 degrees outside with a wind chill in the 30's but this weekend it was 95 degrees and FREAKING HOT! Poor Landri was red as a beet (from heat, not sun burned...I covered her good!) watchin' Bubba play soccer.

But this time next year, it's all good because that means when we get home we can go here:
 OUR NEW COMMUNITY POOL!!!!
They finally put the sign up today that they will begin building it ASAP. While ours won't be ready until December, some of the first homes in the community will be finished in about 3-6 weeks and they will be paying for the pool/playground/community center amenities in their HOA so DR Horton has to get going lol. OMG, I cannot WAIT!!!!
